THE PRACTICE OF CITIZENSHIP FORMATION OF THE YOUTH IN MODERN SOCIOCULTURAL CONDITIONS (BASED ON THE MATERIAL OF THE FAR NORTH)

The paper analyzes the approaches to the formation of students’ citizenship, marks peculiarities and difficulties of the present situation. It actualizes the importance of individual civil liability, legal awareness and tolerance formation as the state interest and social order. It conveys the necessity of a special educational work for the purpose of leveling the process of alienation of modern youth to the historical-cultural heritage. The article reviews the scientific principles of making the citizenship such as organization, gradualness, complexity. The author notes that the educational work conducted in the educational institutions was recognized as ineffective, and the impact of folk arts requires special study. The choice of folk art in the formation of citizenship is well-founded. A proof of the methodology for organizing this work is given. The author offers a stepwise work on the formation of students’ citizenship. The article shows the problems and ways of working with students with the use of combination of folk arts at each stage.
