THE PROBLEM OF THE FORMATION OF PERCEPTUAL CULTURE

This article analyzes the basic concepts and categories, needed to study the problem of forming perceptual culture. Shows the specifics of the impact on personality of modern mass media. Modern mass media are not only a channel broadcast information, but became the primary mechanism of cultural transmission and contemporary cultural space constructed on the primacy of visual communication, leading role of the visual image and its effect on the viewer. Specific character of perceptual culture of modern students, is taken into account when analyzing the trend of the last decade: visual media products have become part of everyday consciousness and form the everyday behavioral habits of today’s youth. The urgency of the question of formation of perceptual culture.
