DEVELOPING THE TECHNOLOGY FOR IMPROVING IT AND METHODOLOGY COMPETENCE OF FOREIGN LANGUAGE TEACHERS AT TECHNICAL UNIVERSITIES

The process of developing the instructional technology for improving IT and methodology competence of a foreign language teacher at a technical university is considered in the article. The stages of the process, the content of each stage and features of the technology under consideration are described. Practical results of the research are given, namely the program of a professional development course together with supplementary teaching materials. Instructional technology is considered in this research as a complex of scientifically proved objectives of the education process together with the measures for reaching the outcomes of professional development. In the context of the research the technology for improving the competence under consideration is defined through the principles of teaching, learning objectives and activities that provide the guarantee of reaching the outcomes of the learning process.
