The phenomenon of the integration as a pedagogical process of a purposeful assembly of educational system’s elements by the establishment of stable relationships, directed to the integrality’s formation, is examined in the article. There are some approaches that are used as a methodological basis of the research, such as dialectic, system-holistic and subject-activity. On the basis of the analysis of philosophical, psychological, pedagogical, sociological literature and the research of essential characteristics of integration’s process, the foundational principles of the integration of students’ learning and scientific research activities are represented, such as integrality, interdependence of integration and differentiation and multiple-level system. Three stages of integration, which are characterized by the appearance of new systematic properties as a result of strengthening interrelation between students’ learning and scientific research activities in educational university’s space, are determined.
