In this article the modeling of the process of acceptance of the academic pursuit by junior students is examined, the mechanism of acceptance of the academic pursuit is disclosed and a number of rules are offered. Any teacher or psychologist can use these rules in order to organize the first stage of the educational activity – the acceptance of the academic pursuit by junior students. The most important terms of subjective notion about the problem due to which a teacher should organize such forms of educational collaboration which could stimulate students’ self-dependence and initiative are singled out in the article. Accepting the academic pursuit, the need to master theoretically generalized method to solve some specific problems becomes actual in the student’s mind. Junior student’s motivation and personality traits are important factors of acceptance of the academic pursuit; presumable failure should be also marked out. Negative mark of presumable mistake given by a teacher, parents or peers aggravates the sense of risk during the acceptance of the academic pursuit.
