The article presents a didactic model of interpreting on the base of a scenario approach to the creation of the appropriate textbook. A professional interpreter’s bilingual and bicultural personality formation require acquiring a wide range of translation competencies based on the material of authentic communicative situations modeled during the study. A scenario model of teaching interpreting and creation of a textbook on scenario didactic principles turn to be adequate according to the didactic point of view. The base of such a textbook is a situation and scenario idea, due to which the text material and the way of its presentation imitate the scenario of an interpreter’s work with a foreign delegation, from the arrival to the departure. The integrated micro-scenes let the students get to know possible intercultural communication scenarios, expand the vocabulary and adapt to the conditions of professional translation activity.
