FAMILY ROLE IN SOCIALIZATION OF HANDICAPPED CHILDREN

Article is devoted to a problem of socialization of handicapped children, in particular to definition of a family role in this process. Features of the relations between children and their parents in the families which are bringing up children with various deviations in development are marked out. On the basis of possible behavioural lines and positions of parents the main obstacles in a way of social integration of children are defined. The conclusion about necessity of purposeful psychological, pedagogical, medical and social work with a family for the purpose of formation of constructive relations between children and their parents, which are a factor of successful socialization of handicapped children, which assume parents knowledge, acceptance and understanding of the diagnosis and features of the child, which are directed on constructive actions in the field of his diagnostics, treatments, corrections, education and training is drawn.
