This article is devoted to analysis of the organization of research activity experience on history lessons with talented children. Talent is a unique combination of abilities that affect the ability to achieve a greater or lesser success in a particular activity. In this regard, one of the objectives of the education system is to identify potentially gifted children and to organize systematic work with them. The problem of talent is disclosed in work from the position of psychological and pedagogical concepts. The authors examine professional competence that a teacher should have for the most effective development of talented children. The article identifies the role of students’ research activity in person creative potential disclosure. Research activity in the article is considered as a mean of person formation that allows students to gain the necessary knowledge, skills for mastering of rapidly increasing flow of information. The authors of the article reveal the stages of research activity on history lessons, provide the algorithm of work with historical documents. The article gives examples of research projects made by student son historical disciplines.
