DEVELOPMENT AND APPLICATION OF MODERN DIDACTIC TEACHING AIDS TO INTENSIFY THE STUDENT INDEPENDENT WORK

The article is concerned with the issues of development and application of modern didactic teaching aids in the academic activity of a technical university in order to intensify the student independent work. The workbook for laboratory works on «Chemistry» was introduced as the modern didactic teaching aid. The main functions of the workbook, its components and the main advantages of its application in the educational process were described. It is noted that the contents of the workbook corresponds to the syllabus of the subject and meets the requirements of the Federal state educational standards for the higher professional training of bachelors in engineering fields. The practical value of application of this didactic aid is that it contributes to the understanding of the training material of this subject, makes it possible for students to form the skills of independent work, enhance its efficiency, improve the training of students in natural sciences and develop their creativity when studying Chemistry course. The authors came to the conclusion that the workbook as a modern didactic aid might provide personalizing of training, form the system approach to the organization of the educational process and improve the efficiency of training in class. They believe that the workbook can be used as a complex teaching aid for both class work and the independent work of students.
