STUDY KIT AS A WAY TO ENCOURAGE INDEPENDENT STUDY OF TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY STUDENTS

Under present-day conditions the main objective of professional education should be development of creative potential of each person as this is the resource providing development of society, culture, science and industry. The authors believe the most efficient way of creative potential development among students is proper organization of their independent study. It was shown that the study kit containing an interactive module can be one of the ways to encourage the independent study of students. Unlike traditional printed teaching materials these study kits have a number of didactic possibilities characteristic for electronic resources, which make it possible for the students to control their educational process, return to the subjects they do not understand properly or the subjects they are interested in and to use the information as often as it is necessary. The article describes the structure of the study kit and the subject-matter of the interactive module. The authors come to the conclusion that the study kit is capable of providing a structure conducive to educational and cognitive activity as well as the independent work of students.
