COMPETENCE-BASED MODEL TRAINING ENGINEER: CONTINUITY AND PROSPECTS OF INTRODUCTION

Analysis of two models for training engineers, based on qualification and competence approaches. It is shown that in the conditions of modernization of professional education, related to the exacerbation of social and economic processes in Russia and global world, the imperfection of the labour market, the only instrument design objectives and content of vocational education qualification and competence-based model, which reflects different stages of the formation of future engineer-professional. Two approaches, with fundamental differences are not antagonistic. A mixed model of education imposes new requirements and function of the teacher and the student, since total control is replaced by cooperation and mutual responsibility for the result of training. The teacher independently designs available options of the educational environment, and the student implements the freedom of choice of educational track. Proposed stages of the formation of the future engineer: 1) conceptual; 2) methodological; 3) activity.
