The given article is devoted to the analysis of relationship between the degree of development of adaptive abilities of students for a rapidly changing conditions of the modern labour market and the process of formation of professional competences on the basis of the skills of non-standard thinking, the ability to see occur in real world problems and the search for rational solutions, using modern information educational technologies. Modern unified concept of informational and educational environment in a technical University fully takes into account new possibilities of creation, dissemination and application of multicomponent distributed and integrated databases and knowledge-oriented education, taking into account national requirements to the education system and harmonized with global trends.
