The article is devoted to definition of the role of program-methodical maintenance of educational process in the teaching discipline «Russian language and speech culture». Indicates that the science is not worked out unified approaches to the definition of methodical software (SW). Based on the definition given Pierazzo. Focuses on three main interrelated components SW: meaningful, functional and evaluation. Called pedagogical and methodological problems that can be solved by using the MT. Functions SW: planning, distributing, synthesizing, integrating, and information. Substantiated the advantages of the software when using information technologies and the expediency of application of the electronic textbook on the subject «Russian language and speech culture» in the classroom, self and home work of students. It is concluded that the application software allows students to plan individual trajectory in the process of professional self-development and to obtain a student-centeredi nformation support on the part of the teacher .
