The article reflects one of the first periods of development of musical – pedagogical education, when the principle of general availability of education was proclaimed in the Soviet Russia and the tasks of liquidating illiteracy of the population, of overcoming “cultural backwardness”, of organizing a system of a “general esthetical education” were set for various educational structures. Establishments of social education (of school, pre-school, and out-of-school education) were involved in this process, professional staff for which was trained by pedagogical technical schools. Peculiarities of musical training of future teachers in conditions of multiethnic and multicultural region of Russia – Tatar Autonomous Republic (TASSR) are reflected in the article as well as tasks, content, forms and methods of musical training of the students, teachers’ staff and trainees of the Secondary Pedagogical Educational Establishments (pedagogical technical schools).
