The article gives bases and significance of necessary modernization of forms and contest of modern pedagogical education. It observes retrospective and modern lines of Russian education reforms. It reviews strategic targets and objectives of modern educational system development. It proves a tendency of achieving high education quality, providing students academic mobility and integration of Russian higher education system into the world educational space, as leading aspects of pedagogical education transfer into new quality corresponding to objectives and requirements of modern society. It gives retrospective and modern authorial positions of scientists regarding forming and developing of information culture and literacy of students on all education stages as priority mission of pedagogical education. It shows forecast of modern higher pedagogical education as the main mechanism of reproduction of social intellect quality and man’s quality.
