Numerous educational communities in the field of music, both domestic and international, have been facing the task of nurturing the musical abilities of students of various specialisms: instrumentalists, vocalists, conductors. To succeed in implementing professional activity and achieving its creative level, it is necessary to develop in students the ability to identify a composer’s figuratively poetic idea and penetrate its figuratively poetic overtones. To tackle this problem, the educational practice makes use of the method of students composing their own music, which contributes to the revelation of the student’s creative potential, initiates and activates the musician’s creative thinking. The manifestation of creative abilities can be observed in various activities: improvisation, composition of music, selection of music by ear, because the natural talent promotes self-expression in spontaneous creative activities.
