The article dwells upon the problem of forming axiological attitude of future civil aviation pilots towards professional achievements as a basis of their future professional and personal development. Success of professional activity of a pilot consists in a strive for self perfection, self-esteem and self control. Generally, attitude is defined as a predisposition of a person to act in a particular way. Attitude in connection with activity presents a state of readiness in in the form of high level development personality processes and ensures steady and focused character of the activity. Formed axiological attitude of future civil aviation pilots towards professional achievements ensures successful performance of professional activity. The formation of such attitude implies the development of three components: cognitive, affective and behavioral. The author of the article presents main didactic ideas which will help form axiological attitude of future civil aviation pilots towards achievements in the profession in the course of English Studies.
