THE CONCEPT OF CONTINUING EDUCATION DEVELOPMENT IN A TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY AS A MULTILEVEL EDUCATIONAL COMPLEX

The article reveals the essence of the concepts «lifelong learning» and «multilevel educational complex». The characteristic of a technical university as a modern multilevel educational complex is given. The main attention is paid to the Concept as a system of views and scientific ideas that characterize the design plan of continuing education in a technical university as a modern multilevel educational complex. The Concept reflects the stage of modern development of conceptual apparatus and terminology, purpose, guiding principles, trends and key directions of activity in the field of continuing education in a technical university. The Concept is based on the principles of multilevel and continuity, integration, compliance and quality, mobility, forestalling, openness, social partnership and feedback. The main directions of activity are: organizational and administrative; educational, organizational and methodical; research; educative; vocational and pedagogical.
