Article is devoted to a problem of statement of a question of essence of such concepts, as «spirituality», «moral» and «spiritual and moral potential». Relevance of the subject designated by authors in the present article, doesn’t raise doubts because in modern education everything is more sharply felt need for education of the spiritual and rich, highly moral personality, capable to create, and not just to consume. The concepts «spirituality» and «moral» are considered from the point of view of various sciences: philosophies, cultural science, psychology and pedagogics. Authors opened approaches to understanding of essence of the concept «spirituality», is presented secular and religious approaches. The interrelation is also given in this article between the concepts «spirituality» and «moral» through the category «spiritual and moral potential». Need of presence of a spiritual and moral component for all directions of educational activity is proved.
