Level of development of modern hiking places high demands on improving the teaching - training process. Overcoming natural obstacles on the route is the essence of the sport , and is a determining factor determining the safety of human movement over rough terrain. The article discusses the scientific substantiation of methods of teaching tourists - peshehodnikov overcoming natural and artificial obstacles. Learning technique is based on the identification of basic techniques to overcome obstacles in learning sequencing techniques. As the primary means of learning basic techniques of overcoming obstacles is proposed to use a specialized training ground. Justified by its content and structure, as well as functional load equipped it “stations”, defined methods and instructional techniques used to achieve this goal. Conducted pedagogical experiment proves the effectiveness of the developed technique.
