Article is devoted to studying of a valuable worldview of the high school teacher defining a role and the teacher’s place in educational process. Valuable potential of subject matters cycle teaching of tourism educational sphere is built on values understanding by the teacher, which he wants to transmit to the student through educational process. Selection of these or those values depends on what purpose the teacher sets in educational process. In our researches, valuable orientations are directed on competence-based approach when training bachelors on tourism. The analysis and generalization of values and valuable orientations provides a means for building a model of professional strategy of the teacher’s pedagogical position of the service direction, as which components are universal, pedagogical and profile values (polycultural and consumer values, communication values, etc.). A holistic approach to the considered problem distinctly shows teacher’s valuable position in work with: students, the teacher in this work, teacher’s colleagues, and also provides a wide range of opportunities for future experts valuable orientation in the field of tourism
