The paper presents a new perspective on the study of problems of vocational education as a public good and meaningful domain of personality. The directions of research in the process of training and retraining, vocational education management systems, material and moral incentives in the field of vocational education and training activities. Expanded existing ideas about the nature of a personal brand teachers stages of its formation. Disclosure of competitiveness vocational education institutions. Identified and justified principles for assessing the competitiveness of vocational education institutions (rule of law, the directive regulating the rights and duties of subjects of educational relations, transparency and openness, constructiveness, competence). Characterized by the process of designing the content of professional training. Identified positive and negative features in the development of non-state institutions of vocational education. Justified the formation of intelligence value, as part of the professional education of future teachers. Expressed opinions on quality management of vocational education.
