THE DEVELOPMENT OF MEDIA COMPETENCE OF FUTUREENGLISH TEACHERS DURING VOCATIONAL TRAINING

The problem of the development of media competence of future English teachers during vocational training is considered in this article. The analysis of scientific literature allowed to reveal that nowadays the development of media competence of the university graduates is an important factor of their success in future professional activity. It is also mentioned that the development of media competence is closely connected with the development of the main professional competences of specialists. The specific character and the concept content “media competence of an English teacher” is specified in the article, which means a set of knowledge, abilities, skills and the motives of the English teacher promoting media educational activity in the course of teaching English in the audience of various age. Our scientific experiment shows that the development of media competence of students - future English teachers becomes more and more important condition of the development of individuality of a future teacher, his ability to use means of multimedia in professional activity, making it more informative, interactive and productive.
