The main idea of developmental teaching lies in necessity for substantial enlargement of the sphere of the developmental influence of teaching. Multifaceted approach and developmental teaching basically contain academic pursuits. The academic pursuit is resolved by the system of educational activities, allows to apply knowledge creatively, to reinforce the knowledge, to form experience of the creative intellection, etc. Consequently, they are used in different segments of the educational process- in goal, in learning something new, in reinforcing and for homework. Different kinds of problems and difficulty in detachment of the general qualities of these problems prompt many teachers to put forward general definition of the problem, to examine the problem as a specific situation in which a person should act. It should be noted that utilization efficiency of the developmental type of the academic pursuit depends on whether students can compare, establish various links between the subject matters, prove, operate the notions.
