TEENAGE DRUG TRENDS: HISTORICAL FACTUAL SITUATION ANALYSIS

This paper presents the modern state of the teenage drug usage, characterized as an epidemic. That’s why it requires careful study, analysis and strategy alignment effects. The author lists the parameters of drug abuse as a negative social phenomenon. It provides an understanding of the phenomenon of narcotics abuse, its manifestations and features. It describes the specificity of drug addiction, its rejuvenation by age, ranging from the 60s of the Soviet times. At first, official statistics on drug addiction «embellished» the real state of affairs, then for many years it was controversial, and only in recent years it was reliable. The article presents the data on drug usage in different countries and regions of Russia. It reveals the specifics of drug addiction, its types and statistical data on each case, the use of different types of drugs by age group. The spread of drug addiction in children and adolescent environment has led to the need for oversight of the issue by the federal executive and the legislature, and the Committee on the Control of Drug Trafficking in order to identify areas for prevention and treatment of drug abuse among adolescents.
