This article deals with physical development and fitness of younger school children with vision defect at the age of 7–12 years, being trained in the special forms. Physical development of school students was examined with the help of anthopometrical indicators, physical fitness was analyzed by results of control and pedagogical tests. Processing of the obtained data was carried out by a method of mathematical statistics. It is revealed that physical development of children is lower than an average one. It is in disharmony with the deficit of a body weight of 1 degree though the indicator of weight and height corresponds to the lower level of a norm. Both boys and girls have power abilities at the average level, their high-speed and power abilities and flexibility are at a low level and their coordination abilities at balance position are at a high level. In practice school students can’t achieve good results in running, jumping, throwing not because their bad movement technique but due to insufficient development of their main moving qualities.
