EDUCATIONAL ASPECT OF INFORMATION COMPUTER CULTURE IN THE INFORMATION SOCIETY

This article discusses aspects of the individual’s information and computer culture formation in the context of information and computerization of education. The author reveals the importance of the innovative information technologies introduction in the educational process in order to create a unified information environment in the educational institution. Actualization of the investigated problem is associated with the use of information technology for the intensification of all levels of the educational process, increasing its efficiency and quality. The paper analyzes the possibility of using the computer to move the individual in a qualitatively new stage of development. In the context of the society informatization the importance of the formation of students’ information and computer culture is revealed. The paper shows the computer culture features structuring value, cognitive and behavioral components. It is concluded that it is the development of information and computer culture ensuring opportunities for the individual to become a full member of the modern information society.
