ABOUT PATRIOTIC AND MORAL EDUCATION OF YOUTH AT THE PRESENT STAGE

In this paper we attempt to analyze comprehensively the role and the educational function of history in educating youth with an active civic and patriotic attitude. Relevance of the topic is determined by the prospective tasks of pedagogical science, coming from the necessity of comprehensive scientific penetration into the problem of vocational education and requires its own solutions to the scientific study of educational conditions for professional training. It is necessary to improve the forms and methods of teaching, actively impart the trainees to work with different sources of knowledge, develop independence of thinking, develop creative activity. In implementing these objectives the important role belongs to the subjects of social and humanitarian series of disciplines. One of the required conditions for strong and deep knowledge of students’ thinking is the establishment of interdisciplinary linkages, inclusion of the newly studied facts and concepts in the students’ existing knowledge systems through moral categories such as patriotism.
