INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION IN THE FIELD OF LIBRARY FUNDS PRESERVATION

The article provides an overview of joint international projects in the field of traditional and electronic library funds’ preservation. The basic directions of activity of the largest Russian scientific and methodological centers and organizations, is the coordinator of the project. Major centers such as the Russian Committee of UNESCO Programme “Information for All”; Academy of Retraining in Arts, Culture and Tourism; Federal Conservation Center library collections; Center for International Library and research department of conservation and restoration of documents and other LFL. It also considers basic directions of activity of the largest Russian scientific and methodological centers and organizations, which are the coordinators of these projects. Such cooperation allows to exchange experience within the framework of international conferences and seminars, to publish joint collections, get access to foreign editions, to pass working on probation in the largest foreign libraries. In this regard, it gets more acute need for the use of translated materials that intensifies the industry, creating new prospects for cooperation.
