A comparative analysis of motor activity of students of various specialties is carried out in this article. 126 students of the Belgorod State National Research University were divided into three groups. The first group included students of the humanities, the second – the technical specialties, and the third – the natural sciences. Motor activity of the students was studied by means of questioning and pedometry. Pedometry data indicate that the highest rates of weekly, monthly and semester motor activity have been revealed at students of technical specialties. Analyzing the results of questioning, it is possible to assume that such high rates of motor activity at students of technical specialties, are caused by their interest to active types of rest. The data presented in this article can be used for development of techniques or technologies to elimination of deficiency of locomotion at students’ youth.
