THE ESSENCE OF THE CADETS PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCES IN A MILITARY INSTITUTE

The article analyzes different definitions of the terms «competence», «competency», main points of the competence approach to the military training for the prospect officers of technical support services in the Russian Interior Army. It is concerned with the means of the professional competency formation according to the basic educational program for humanities, social and economic disciplines, mathematics, sciences as well as the assessment criteria for the level of their professional competency. In the criteria, requirements to professional competence of officers - graduates in different spheres of activity, starting from the knowledge of normative - legal acts regulating activity, ending with observance of requirements of safety when performing certain operations of maintenance and repair of vehicles for special purposes, consisting on arms of the Interior Army of the Russian Federation Home Affairs Department.
